Please welcome are fabulous guest writer, Joanna from Design Shuffle:
Hello, I’m Joanna, a writer for
Design Shuffle, a go-to source for all things interior design from interior designer portfolios to up-to-date information on design trends and
decorating ideas. You can find me any given work day searching for the most beautiful designs and sharing them on blogs such as the lovely Amanda Forrest Design: Life & Style blog. Thanks for letting me share with you today!
Monograms aren’t just for men’s bespoke shirts or handkerchiefs, they can be found on bed linens, pillows and even dining chair backs. Do you have monograms and other writing in your décor? If not, following are some of my favorite ways to express yourself with a few initials or sentences.
The monograms on this bed give a stately feel to the room while the colors of mint green, subtle blue and fun fuchsia give a playful edge to the room.
I love the “Mr.” and “Mrs.” pillows like those shown here. They could also be placed on matching occasional chairs in the living room too.
The Persian feel of this interior design is carried over to the bed linens with twin monogrammed pillows.
Monogrammed slipcovers on the dining chairs pictured here give a personalized touch to the space. Getting any
dining room design ideas?
Towels with a family crest or lettered monogram give a luxurious feel to any powder room or bathroom.
This is an unexpected place to find a monogram of sorts—twin youth headboards in a
bedroom design. Kids love letters so they are sure to like having their initials painted above their heads at bedtime.
Love, love, love this “Love” message spread across two king pillow cases. How fun to have your and your sweetheart's initials encircled by a whimsical pink heart. This would make a perfect Valentine’s present.
The written word takes center stage in this shower/bathtub. Fun messages or quotes can be written on the walls of practically any room to showcase your sensibilities. Images
